ma ma is a roving contemporary art space in toronto, canada. founded by magdalyn asimakis and heather rigg, ma ma presents exhibitions, screenings, reading groups, and talks.
ma ma engages with artists working in video, photography, text, and sculpture, who explore issues around performance, embodiment, technology, access, institutional critique, and how social infrastructures are built and navigated.
ma ma's first space will present four exhibitions and associated programming between july and november 2018, and their second space opens in the spring of 2019.
ma ma acknowledges that it is situated on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples.
